Tapan Tapadar is blessed with the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the finest folk musicians Bengal has ever produced.
He is direct disciple to Kali Dasgupta and spent a long period with him learning different tunes of Bengal.
He had met and spent time with Bhupen Hazarika. He had his time with Pratima Barua Learning tunes of Norh-East Bengal.
Tapan Tapadar is also an active Mass Song performer. His acquaintance with Hemanga Biswas enriched him with the bold expression echoing the voice of people.
